Here you will find different videos, highlighting the works by the MAAP show series Creator/Producer ALEXANDRE MAGNO.  Plus a short video of the (MAAP show series 2 weeks  workshop) of "The Body, Mind And Show Of ART" at the EL PORTAL THEATRE in Noho Art District.

“The Body, Mind & Soul of ART” 

The full show consist of approximately one hour, plus and additional 15 minutes intermission.  

The show is based on the trinity of man, Body, Mind and Soul; each segment incorporates and highlights the different layers of ART.

PART 3 (The Soul/The Singer)

 

Some of the songs used in this video includes:

"Morning Bird" by SADE ADU, "You and Me" by MOORE, ALECIA / GREEN, DALLAS, two new Magno's music arrangement of "L'amour est un oiseau rebelle - Habanera - CARMEN" by BIZET, and a hot  "Latin/Fosse style piece, with a Robert Rodriguez/Frank Miller Under Tone" "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot me Down)" by SONNY BONO, the song was translated and sang in spanish .  "Libertango" by the great ASTOR PIAZOLLA. “Un Bacio É Troppo Poco” by ANTONIO AMURRI and BRUNNO CANFORA, “Dio Come Ti Amo" by DOMENICO MODUGNO, "Carusso" by LUCIO DALLA) "La Vida Es Un Carnaval" By CELIA CRUZ, and "Assassin's Tango" by JOHN POWEL.

 

The show ends with a reprise of CHARLIE SCHMIDT'S Opening POEM mixed with a WORLD MEGA MUSIC MIX-MEDLEY "Tangana Das Paixões" (incorporating different styles of music and rhythm; Flamenco, African Cuban, Middle Eastern, Tango, Samba, and Pop Music) This section features small sections of the following songs: "Canto Do Mar" by TRINDADE, FERRER / BRITO FREDERICO,

"Maracatu Atomico" by NELSON JACOBINA and JORGE MAUTNER, and "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin" by MICHAEL JACKSON. This section brings the trinity of man together (Body, Mind and Soul).

PRODUCER & CREATOR (Reel)

Alexandre Magno is a Brazilian born, Emmy Nominated choreographer and director known for his unique dynamic style and vision. Drawing on a variety of styles, disciplines, and cultural influences, Magno infuses his work with powerful drama, beauty and sensuality. Unlike many choreographers, he is able to cross over from the commercial world (film, tv & stage) into the theatrical world with amazing ease and grace. Some of his credits include: Madonna, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Yanni, FOX TV: So You Think You Can Dance, ABC TV: Dancing With The Stars, The infamous Lido La Tourné, Ballet Hispanico, The Ringling Brothers Circus, and the Academy Awards all the while continuing work with his own brand new ON-GOING project: "MAAP show series" a once 2 to 3 months new live show, featuring Live Music, Dance, Spoken Word and Film.
